Sunon's Three High-Performance Cooling Fans Pass ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Verification, Underscoring Commitment to Green Transition

2025.04.18

Sunonwealth Electric Machine Industry Co., Ltd. (Sunon, TPE: 2421) continues to strengthen its commitment to corporate sustainability and low-carbon manufacturing. Three of its high-performance cooling fan models—PF4028, PF8038, and PFC038—have officially passed product carbon footprint verification conducted by DNV Business Assurance Taiwan in accordance with the ISO 14067 international standard. The resulting certification demonstrates Sunon’s capabilities in carbon management across the entire product life cycle—from design and development to production and transportation.

These certified fan models are primarily used in servers, AI computing, and telecommunications equipment—high-performance applications that demand advanced thermal solutions. Sunon supports the global IT industry by delivering robust, reliable, and comprehensive thermal management products. Internally, Sunon has formed a carbon inventory task force that integrates systemized data from its ERP platform with a product carbon footprint inventory system co-developed with SYSTEX Corporation (TPE: 6214). This framework enables a real-time, transparent, and objective methodology for calculating product carbon footprints, significantly improving both the accuracy and traceability of carbon data.

As global markets impose stricter demands on greenhouse gas emissions transparency, product carbon footprint management has become an essential tool for communicating with supply chain partners. Moving forward, Sunon will continue to broaden the scope of its carbon inventory, strengthen low-carbon product design strategies, and collaborate with customers and suppliers in pursuit of its net-zero emissions goals.
