Smart Manufacturing

SUNON has begun rolling out its smart manufacturing processes focused on three main concepts: automatic production, digital production, and intelligent production.
SUNON's Smart Manufacturing, the core tenets of our improved manufacturing process are:Consistent Capacity, Enhanced Quality, Accurate Control System, Data Tracking.

Advanced Automatic Production Development

The main goal behind the design of SUNON's smart manufacturing process was to introduce automatic production at the early stages. From there, SUNON has made a concentrated effort to develop digitalized production data. Smart manufacturing technology has made significant progress in recent years using advanced applications such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). SUNON has invested a multitude of resources, including labor, funds, and time, into these technological developments as we strive to continuously enhance the models of production in our factories to grow and keep our corporation competitive.

Enhanced Productive Efficiency Using Automatic Production

SUNON uses various advanced technologies and systems in its automatic production including robotic arms, contactless visual detection, and just-in-time computing systems to aid production processes and quality inspections. Additionally, we apply automatic control systems to assist with a variety of operational functions including automated operational positioning error identification and correction, foreign object and speck detection, and material control checkpoints. The above applications of automatic control systems are used to improve our conventional manpower approaches to manufacturing, assembling, and checking phases, and as a result, our overall production yield and effectiveness have both improved.

The Traceability and Management of Production Examination Data

We have introduced data visualization management into our production process by recording information and tracking various types of data using QR codes. The data related to incoming product quality, mistake-proofing, and product inspection results is then uploaded to the cloud. By keeping an organized and digitized record system, visual management ensures SUNON's production control and assembly lines remain efficient. Furthermore, it puts production traceability management into practice.

Automatic Fan Blade Balancing

The conventional manpower approach used in the fan blade balancing process is time-consuming, results in inconsistent quality, and is unable to be tracked via a digitalized record. To alleviate these issues, SUNON introduced automatic fan blade balancing equipment into its production process that significantly enhances its operational effectiveness and increases the precision required at the G6.3 level standard. Moreover, SUNON can now perform data analysis by recording production data to improve our fan design and manufacturing process.
