SUNON: Comprehensive Thermal Solutions for AI Servers and Data Centers

Rapid advancement in artificial intelligence (AI) technology are driving the expansion of high-performance computing into more complex applications. Heat management and energy efficiency have become top priorities for data centers and server services. Air-cooled solutions are increasingly being adopted to address these challenges. Liquid-cooled systems, liquid cold plates for example, are increasingly being developed to effectively manage the substantial heat generated by next-generation technologies in the future. Rack system, which includes servers, swifts, and power supply units (PSUs), combines several high-performance fans and liquid-cooled modules to efficiently dissipate heat within the rack. Taking an NVL-72 AI server as an example, in addition to deploying liquid cold plates, the system employs over 250 fans in the rack, and a fan wall of the AALC sidecar for rack cooling is used to cool down the warm water in the liquid cooling system, with the cooled water returning to the system and being reused.
